WELCOME LETTER FOR SECOND TERM 2020/2021 ACADEMIC SESSION

Dear Esteemed Parents,

We are very happy to welcome you back to the second term 2020/2021 academic session. We are grateful to God for his faithfulness and protection over our lives during the vacation. We are grateful to all our parents for the strong partnership which have led to the success of our learners in the school and we promise to do our very best to carry out our responsibilities like we have always done.

We encourage parents to note the following;

SAFETY MEASURES: We uphold the fact that ‘health is wealth’, so we expect everyone to adhere to the following rules to ensure the safety and well being of the children, staff and parents in the school:

The use of face shield is compulsory for everyone in the school.
Anyone entering the school premises must submit him/herself for temperature check at the gate.
The children would be spaced observing the rules of social distancing.
The use of hand sanitizer is compulsory for everyone.
Posting signs to reinforce self screening and hand hygiene have been put in place.
Fumigation and general cleaning would take place every week apart from the regular daily cleaning which happens at interval during school hours.
A sick child would be sent back home for proper medical attention. Please always inform the school whenever a scholar is absent from school due to ill health.
The school has a medical practitioner as part of the medical team in the school.

ACADEMIC GOALS: Learner would be in school from Monday through Friday from 7:40am to 2:30pm respectively. Please our dear parents ensure that your children go to bed early so that they can get enough sleep and rest in order to wake up early and prepare for school.

The learner would be given study packs and weekly assessment. Please note that scholars evaluation will be based on class assignment, weekly assessment, mid- term assessment, computer based test (CBT) and end of term examination.

GROOMING: Welove it when our learners dress well and smart. Parents, please ensure that your child(ren) represents the school in the right complete uniform, sport wear etc.

The use of artificial extension for learner’s hairstyle is forbidden. Our learners are expected to be on school uniform on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday while Friday are for sports wear on canvas.

SCHOOL BUS SERVICES: The school bus services are fully functional. For those of you parents that want the school bus service, kindly come to the school and make necessary payment.

ASSIGNMENT/HOMEWORK: Adequate homework will be given to our learner daily. Parents kindly ensure that you supervise their home work and endeavor to sign and give comment at the end where necessary.

EXTRA CURRICULUM ACTIVITIES: The world’s economy today is being driven by entrepreneurs’ hence extra curriculum activities forms an integrals part of our curriculum. Parents are hereby advised to ensure that their child(ren) register in at least one of our clubs/society. Kindly visit the admin department to sign up.

PUNTUALITY:All learners are to be in school latest 7:40am daily to enable them participate in all activities for the day. We adjourn our parents to please ensure their child(ren) goes to bed early so that he/she can get adequate rest. This will make them rise up early, refresh and get ready for the new day’s activities.

School Lunch: The school offers mouth watery lunch for our learners; Payment is flexible – Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Termly. Please sign up your child for our delicacies. You can contact our admin office for our weekly menu.

Registration of Junior Secondary Certificate Examination: The registration of the above mentioned examination is ongoing, parents of JSS 3 students who are yet to pay the exam fee are reminded that late registration attracts extra fee.

FRUIT DAY: All Bijamic school learners are required to bring their choice of fruits to school on Wednesdays. This is to inculcate into our children the habit of taking natural fruits which is rich in vitamins. Therefore, they are prohibited from bringing snacks to school on Wednesdays.

School Fees:We appreciate our parents for the prompt payment of school fees, and pray the Lord will bless your business ventures. We passionately look forward to receiving the same cooperation this term, bearing in mind that prompt payment of fees enhances smooth running of the school. Please note that stationaries and textbooks will only be given to learners that have paid their fees. All fees should be paid into the school account(s).
